from Bob McDonnel, Director of House of Life:
“As
we watched this expansion take shape, something else began to grow in our hearts.
We began to think about the future, not just in the immediate sense, but in a way that would allow this work to continue for generations to come.
Out of this came a vision for a purpose-driven, intergenerational community, a place where children, young mothers, and the elderly live in a shared environment of care, dignity, and belonging.
We envision a model where assisted living is not only about care, but about purpose. A place where elderly individuals can experience community, connection, and meaning, while also contributing to a broader ecosystem that supports vulnerable mothers and children.
This vision also includes the development of a Montessori-style learning environment for children, and opportunities that would create meaningful employment within the local community.
As we look at everything unfolding, from new beginnings within the lives of the mothers we serve, to the expansion of our spaces, to the vision that lies ahead, we are reminded that none of this happens alone.
This is a shared journey.
And during this month, as we honor mothers, we are especially grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside those who are just beginning that role, helping them step into it with strength, dignity, and hope.
Thank you for being part of what is taking place here.
With gratitude and hope,
Bob & Maricela

This is such an inspiration!
