This is the third time that Mr. Jordan has been elected to this body composed of representatives of officially-associated DGC organizations. There are a variety of functions that GNEC serves, including planning of meetings such as the CSO Conference held this past May in Nairobi, Kenya. Mr. Jordan said that he has always promoted the participation of youth in the UN system, and that many of the practices and procedures adopted in NGO Conferences began in the 2007 Conference on Climate Change that he was privileged to chair. Mr. Jordan represents Intl. Council for Caring Communities, which promotes a society for all ages and abilities, and the newly-elected member of GNEC will focus on promotion of digital education that is available from organs of the UN system to NGOs and others on a no-fee basis.
