Kate Jewell went to Poland to help Ukrainian refugees when Putin’s war first began. AAI has supported several projects to help Ukrainians. Most recently, we have been helping Krzysztof Adamski, a brave humanitarian who is selflessly hand delivering supplies to the Ukrainian people!

UPDATES ON UKRAINE PROJECT:
September 2024
Our friend, Dr. Oksana reports from Lviv: “Between missile attacks I’m ok. A few rockets just flew over my house, nobody knew where they were going to fall (it was horrible) but I continue to volunteer and work with the soldiers.” Oksana really needs medical supplies for those soldiers. You can help her help those soldiers with a donation for medical supplies. Our friend Krzysztof will deliver them to her on his next mission to Ukraine…and he is leaving soon. Currently, he is helping those in Poland who lost everything in the recent floods, helping rebuild a house in Ukraine and continuing to gather and transport supplies to Ukrainians who need them most. Your donations help Krzysztof and Oksana continue their brave work and are truly appreciated. Thank you for your kindness.
August 2024
Meet Larissa and her husband. This is the couple who greatly helped Krzysztof when his convoy was attacked. They are also the couple that Krzysztof is determined to help rebuild their bombed out home.
I asked permission to use this photo and it took over two weeks to receive her reply as they are having severe electricity issues. In the meantime, her husband, Victor, has had another surgery on his broken leg as it is not healing correctly.
Krzysztof has not lessened any of his hard work to bring life-saving supplies to soldiers as well as women and children in small villages. He simply added a large goal to his already overwhelming list! Your donations help him continue his inspiring, much needed and greatly appreciated work.
May 2024
Krzysztof has just returned from his most dangerous mission to date! He writes: “In general, it is very dangerous in Kharkov at the moment and there are speculations that Russia will want to capture this city. It is attacked several at times every day with bombs and rockets.“
He continues:”It is an unimaginable noise and bang, but the most dangerous thing ….is a very large amount of rocket debris that falls to the ground…you need to be far away from the explosion because if you are nearby, …you may be injured. This is my new experience and learning in this terrible war.”
“On May 18, I experienced something that will always remain in my memory….I applied for the evacuation of civilians from Wotczansk in Kharkov. We set off in the convoy but unfortunately our efforts were interrupted when our convoy was attacked and the evacuation was canceled.”
“ Despite our best efforts, we couldn’t help…I feel very angry and sad that the lives of those who were left in the city could not be saved. This is an unimaginable loss that is a tough one to bear.”
“These types of experiences undeniably leave lasting imprints on the heart and mind. But even though I feel sadness and sorrow, I also feel the strength and obligation to remember that everyone has a duty to help others and that even in the most difficult moments, we must persevere in hope. I am convinced that with our actions and determination, we can together create a better future.“
Krzysztof collected political banners from the latest Polish election and delivered them to help people cover their bombed out windows, doors and roofs. He also delivered food, shoes, clothes, medicine and more. He was able to gift our AAI Ukrainian bracelets to people he met along the way.
Krzysztof WILL NOT STOP and truly believes that TOGETHER WE CAN DO MUCH! He is only able to accomplish these dangerous missions to bring in greatly needed aid WITH YOUR HELP! Your donation will go directly to support the people in Ukraine who need it most!
MARCH 2024
Krzysztof Adamski delayed his trip into Ukraine this month to finish an extended first aid course. Krzysztof writes:
I see “boys made of gunshot wounds, severed limbs and other wounds that can happen during war. I have knowledge of these but I need training.”
So, Krzysztof has taken the time to learn medical knowledge that can help him truly tend to the wounded and hopefully alleviate their suffering and/or SAVE A LIFE! He also carries a first aid kit with the “most important medicines and medical tools.”
He will be leaving early April to take medical supplies to the front lines. HIs trip is becoming increasingly dangerous but HE WILL NOT STOP! HIs motto in life: “WE ACT, WE DON’T TALK!”
Krzysztof needs our continued support to continuing his brave work bringing life-saving goods to soldiers and villagers. He is grateful for your past support and hopeful for your continued donations. Pictured are some of the medical supplies (and some treats) he will soon deliver.
