¨I am proud to share 4 of the Panels Sierra Cares Foundation is sponsoring for the Convention on the Status of Women #CSW68 at United Nations in New York next week.
The panels all revolve around supporting women in first and developing nations that addresses the vulnerabilities attached to extreme poverty, climate changes and exploitation in the next 25 years. It is estimated that by 2050, the impact of these issues including low crop yields, a lack of water and rising sea levels with force more than 216 million people across six regions, including sub-Saharan Africa, south Asia, the middle east and Latin America from their homes, resulting in ongoing migrant and refugee displacement and a continued humanitarian crisis. Join us for one or all of them, beginning March 13th. I have another one slated inside the UN and will send that when its available.
I am honored to stand beside some of the most brilliant women in the world who are working to address these issues and very thankful to the donors of Sierra Cares Foundation for helping to sponsor these important and impactful discussions. Thank you to Lady Tee Thompson of Agrobiz for allowing us all a seat at the world’s largest table for Women. I am also excited to have my daughter, Alyssa. join me this year, she is a world changer in the making!¨
