Solidarity trip to Guatemala!
Our trip will allow you to offer significant support to many people in need as well as introduce you to the beauty and culture of the coutry hosting us.
You will have the experience of a lifeime!
Each participant will be required to transport a sewing machine that will be sent to your address prior to departure. We ask that you do not collect anything else unless otherwise instructed. We want to use your baggage allowance for needed items such as sewing machines that will be shipped to each participant.

Arrival in Guatemala city and transfer to Antigua at Posada de los Bucaros.Your private car transportation for the one hour ride is $25.00 .

Day 2
We will travel to deliver and set up a bunk bed to a needy family.
visit Por Amor de Patricia, home to children taken away from parents due to abuse. Picnic box lunch at the village’s school and delivery of books for the library. Free afternoon to enjoy Antigua, a colonial city listed as world heritage by Unesco.
Dinner with indigenous entertainment at the Posada de Don Rodrigo (included)
Day 3
We will travel to Panajachel with a long stop in a hilltop community to deliver goats or put finishing touches to vented stoves.
Day 4
Morning at FundaMaya for ceremony to deliver sewing machines
Free afternoon to shop for handcrafts
Dinner with marimba and cultural presentation (included)
Day 5
Boat trip to Santa Cruz
Lunch at Amigos de Santa Cruz culinary and sewing school where trainees will prepare and serve our meal. You will be able to buy beautiful handcrafts in the store selling items made by the students.
Optional one hour weaving or beading class in the home of indigenous weavers. Book delivery for the children library.
Day 6
Return to Antigua with a stop to visit the fascinating Mayan Iximshe Ruins. The ruins offer a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the Mayan civili-zation.
Farewell dinner

Departure for USA or consider these options we can organise for you.

$25 unrefundable registration fee due February 7th and refundable only if we cancel the trip.

Does not include air fare, alcoholic or special beverages, not mentioned meals.
The entire amount of the fees will be spent on logistics, food, lodging, local transportation and the donations that we will make. Consequently, your fee is entirely tax deductible. Your airfare is also tax deductible if you do not add days of leisure to the trip.
