What an inspiring initiative! It’s heartening to see young people taking proactive steps to protect our environment and biodiversity. Reforestation efforts like this play a crucial role in preserving ecosystems like the Barra de Santiago RAMSAR site. Mangroves, in particular, are invaluable for their ability to sequester carbon and provide habitat for a diverse array of species.
It’s also great to hear about the collaboration involved, with support from the Ministry of Development and Design for the Nation. Such partnerships are vital for scaling up conservation efforts and ensuring long-term success.
By coming together to plant mangrove trees, volunteers have not only helped combat climate change but also safeguarded coastal areas from erosion and provided essential habitat for wildlife and filtration of rivers. These actions contribute significantly to creating a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come. Thanks to Leonor and Patricia of the Ministry of Design and Development for coordinating -Keep up the fantastic work!
Also to support the La Palapa Turtle Project The Ministry of the environment (ANDA) hired 50 Fishermen and will give them a healthy salary to help with Turtle Conservation! One of the Directors of the project will be Ruben navarro, Director of our La Palapa turtle project!
