We started our trip with helping families who live at Abatex, this is just outside Manila. They all live on a Dumpsite.

The first day we had a very special day planned with swimming, playing games, dancing, and singing with a lot of prizes for them. The girls got a brand new dress that was handmade, and they all got a beautiful T-shirt from Angels Of Hope. The families got to enjoy so much fun and good food.

The second day was our medical and dental mission.Dr. Meg Rivera Jugueta and her team along with other Dentist, doctors and volunteers. They offered free dental, vaccines, medication and counseling. As the families waited, they were offered hot food and drinks. It was truly a wonderful day watching so many people get assistance, The most impressive thing was watching them get brand new teeth right there on the spot. It really changed their whole appearance and they were so happy.

The next few days were spent with Shepherd of the hills children’s home. They came all away from their home in Zambales, and we all stayed together in Manila and had fun filled days. We went bowling, played billiards, watched a movie “Wish”, went swimming, ice-skating, treated them to a little shopping spree for a Christmas gift, lots of good food and enjoyed an evening of fireworks. It was a wonderful Christmas vacation for them. We were 62 people in total!! That was a lot of arrangements for them to provide for all of us.
We have watched some of them grow up into young adults. Because of Airline Ambassadors and our sponsorship program they have the opportunity to go to college or a trade school. Such a great success for them !! Very well deserving.
The next day, and a half we were so fortunate to help the Dawo family of nine children who lost their mother after the youngest was born, their grandmother takes care of them now. We did gift each of them with a new pair of sneakers for school and some gifts for Christmas. We were invited to their home, it’s not easy as they live far off the beaten path… I can’t imagine taking that hike every day to go to school, but they do and they’re the most loving kids you could ever meet, they don’t complain, they all do good in school and seem so happy.
We picked them up and took them on an overnight Glamping Safari. It was so amazing watching the kids have so much fun. We went to a great place for dinner which has unlimited rice (Filipinos love that), went to the carnival (their first time), had ice cream, after that we swam before bed. The next morning we woke up had a great breakfast, and a wonderful Safari, where the kids got to witness a tiger, feeding on our truck!! During the Safari they got to feed so many animals. It was really an amazing experience for all of us. We took them to lunch and said our goodbyes!!This trip was so much fun and a real Christmas holiday for the kids.
For all of them going swimming, to the zoo, to the movies and so much more is so special!! They are treated to this when our group visits because we want them to have experiences with us!!Thank you to everyone who donated so much…. money, clothes, computers, cell phones, dresses, T-shirts and so much more!! I have so many pictures but can’t put them all on!!!Such a wonderful trip!!! Enoy the pictures The team even sent us a virtual Card Merry Christmas card from the Philippines!
