“I founded a non profit organization in 1997 after the sudden death of my father when he was only 54.
I quit my job as a supervisor of flight attendants to become a flight attendant for AA and use time to embark on 7 year search for meaning.
I believe each of us incarnated on this planet to grow in consciousness, the Kogi Indians from Colombia say that means our purpose is to become gardeners of the world – not only the physical world but of the aluna – the emotional psychic atmosphere
How we can we using our unique interests and skills in service to humanity, our world and all Life) )including animals and plants? Those of us that have asked ourselves the essential question are the architects of a New Humanity and a New civilization.
Wings of Love is the story of Airline Ambassadors International and our work helping vulnerable children around the world. We began as flight attendants hand delivering hotel amenities from our layovers and we hand delivered 60 million of humanitarian aid to 62 countries.
In 2000 I received a letter from Armando Bukele Kattan asking us to come to El Salvador as a guest of the Kiwanis Club ‘he was President.
We brought an airplane in early January to provide gifts to children in 6 orphanages it was amazing!
A week after we left on January 13 a huge earthquake hit Santa Tecla We brought a team right back down including doctors, medical supplies and humanitarian aid. Even the President of Kiwanis International and the American Medical Association were part of the tea
Nayib Bukele, oldest son of the President made huge posters to welcome our group and posted them on our route from the airport NS and the refugee camp. He coordinated a press conference to share. During the press Conference a second earthquake hit….We went running to Hospital Bloom, the Children’s Hospital to check on safety. My husband is a professional builder and we learned that the buildings were unsafe.
That launched the effort to amend building codes in the United States and El Salvador and we got launched new laws in both countries The Construction and Safety Act of the Americas was adopted in 2003.
In 2010 we saved a little girl in Cambodia and learned about the dark reality of human trafficking, &subsequently correctly identified human trafficking on four airlines is the US
With the support of Congressman Smith we coordinated a Congressional Briefing to airlines in the US and changed the law in the US in 2016 for all all flight attendants to be trained on this issue We also provided 130 trainings and presentations to airlines and airports throughout the world.
The story of Airline Ambassadors is told in the book Wings of Love, that can also be purchased on Amazon. I was so honored to receive an endorsement from Nayib Bukele and any other global leaders.
I’ll be in the lobby afterwards wo provide you a personal signed copy of the book.”
