Last Christmas, AAI learned of a Nepali man who passionately wanted to help the poorest of the poor….destitute families living on the southern border with children who are in grave risk of being trafficked.
Kate Jewell responded by sending this man Bishnu Sapkota $800 as her gift to family and friends. In turn, Bishnu purchased warm coats and shoes for 120 children!

This year, Bishnu has founded Deep Nepal, an official Nepalese NGO dedicated to educating the poorest of the poor to keep them safe from Child Trafficking. AAI added his project to Global Giving and you have been most generous!
Your generosity has allowed Bishnu to bring warm clothing and/or school supplies/uniforms to 230 children! He has also facilitated six trainings to educate his audience on the dangers of trafficking, warning signs and how to avoid being thrust into a lifetime of slavery. These are lessons given in Nepal…but not to the poorest of the poor. Bishnu is focusing on helping those who are most at risk!
Bishnu has also been interviewed on radio and tv and been a guest speaker at many meetings and government functions. Recently, he was contacted by an international organization interested in working with him to save children from being trafficked.
Your help made this all possible. Bishnu sends you his sincere DHANYAVAD (THANK YOU) and truly appreciates your continued support. Namaste.
