May 25th we celebrated a special Baby Shower
for girls at the House Life
Below is a report from BoB McDonald
“Dear friends,
Sometimes, God answers quietly.
Other times, He makes it loud and clear. This month, we’ve witnessed one incredible moment after another—and through every story, one phrase kept echoing in my heart:
“Yeah, yeah, God is good.
”If you’ve known me or followed this mission for a while, you’ve probably heard me say it a hundred times: “We need a pickup truck.”
For 35 years, I’ve prayed. For 35 years, I’ve waited. And finally—just a few months ago—the Department of Child Welfare in El Salvador asked me a simple question:
Without a second thought, I replied, “Yes. A truck. We desperately need it to reach kids and families in rural areas.” And to my amazement, they said yes.
For the first time in three and a half decades, we received something from the Salvadoran government—a fully functioning truck, ready to serve.
A couple of weeks ago, as I drove it out of their parking lot for the first time, I turned on the radio. And right at that moment, a song came on:
“Yeah, yeah, God is good… yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, God is good.”
I laughed, I cried, I praised.
Just days after receiving the truck, another moment reminded us of how fragile—and precious—life is.
One of our teen moms at House of Life gave birth to her baby. But soon after, things took a terrifying turn: she went into septic shock and had to be placed on a ventilator.
For days, we held our breath. She was fighting for her life.
But by God’s mercy, she pulled through.
Today, she’s back home—reunited with her baby, surrounded by love, and receiving the care she needs.
Another miracle.
Another reason to say:
God is good.
On May 25 there was a baby shower for the new young mother!
