Diamond Child School of Arts & Culture Summer report – 2026
During June and July at Diamond Child School of Arts & Culture, we were extremely busy preparing and having our students sit for state exams. 28 Diamonds, out of 30 obtained the highest scores on the NPSE (National Primary School Examinations). In late July, 69 candidates took the BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination). Results will be out in early September.
Coming off the peak of the rainy season, typical of any annual monsoon period, there was major flash flooding in August, accompanied by soil erosion on the hillsides near the school, affecting local communities. Due to our location near the sea, the school suffered next to no damage. Summer time at Diamond Child School however is always marked by major upgrading campaigns which included roof repairs, bathroom and general classroom & furniture improvements. Our proud Boy Scouts have been most active during the summer break as well and fortunately they all received a healthy breakfast and lunch in situ. One of their major activities included attending the school’s ecological garden. Diamond “Scouts”, hard to match!
