What a joy to revisit the Zaragosa Home on April 11 with Suzy Gonzalez, Nancy Rivard and Samantha Bukele and 11 students from the Maya School! Because of a generous donor from our previous visit, we were able to provide 55 chicken dinners from Pollo Campero – which delighted the residents! Additionally we had everyone participate in a coloring project from withe the inspiration from Angels of Hope! Everyone had a wonderful time….and what meant most to them was gruly our PRESENCE! See below pictures which tell the story:
See some samples of the drawiings the residents worked on inspired by the Angels of Hope.
We also looked at what was really needed at this home. Defnately we have to provide a grate to cover the hole below, and the ditch where residents can fall and hurt themselves. We also need to provide a new refrigerator and freezer, and rain gutter for outside. Fans and bedding are are needed in the rooms of the residents which are so very hot.
