Bio of Richard Jordan
Richard Jordan has been twice elected as a Trustee of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine at NY Episcopal Diocesan Conventions.
Pre-pandemic, Richard has served for over 8,000 days at the United Nations as Dean of Non-governmental organizational representatives, was elected Chairman of the 2007 60th Annual Conference of the UN Dept. of Global Communications for 1,800 delegates, and was one of the 5 original co-founding editors of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin, the journal of record at all environment and development negotiations worldwide.
Apart from church and United Nations obligations, Richard also served for 6 years on the Board of Governors of the National Arts Club on Manhattan’s historic Gramercy Park, served on the Boards of Directors of Friends of the United Nations and Symphony for United Nations, and was President for 20 years of Concerned Citizens Speak, Inc., a New York city-wide citizens organization, focusing on air pollution issues caused by incinerators and on working with 2 police precincts to break up an extensive prostitution ring around 29th St. and Lexington Ave.
