See this narration from Nancy Rivard, President of Airline Ambassadors:
When first saw this painting (to the left) hanging in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in January 2020 (where our AAI team was staying for our Mission to El Salvador), I fell in love with it and exclaimed to my husband – “I have to meet this artist – Miguel Angel Ramirez!” His paintings center on children, but the wisdom in their eyes….the spiritual connectedness. He represented everything I hoped to do with Airline Ambassadors. I just knew I had to meet this painter. I searched for his galleries and could not locate him.
Imagine my joy when in November 2022 he showed up at my neighbors house and my husband and I were able to acquire one of his amazing paintings for our own! I’m not much for material possessions and people who know me are aware I give away most of what I own. But these paintings are special. It turned out to be more than I imagined.

“The work of Miguel Angel Ramirez does not allow a quick glance, the gaze of his children demands much more. He enters our eyes and minds, seeks dialogue and brings the viewer to the center of their heart. His pictoral discourse is not restricted to any language. His paintings are rooted in everyday experiences, but they do not constitute visual testimonies.
Ramirez is not a chronicler of time and space, he is an artist who projects towards infinity with his dream children who encourage inner life in their talking eyes, in that smile that tries to appear and promises to come to dazzle us with its blinding light, and the terderness nestled in that innocent gaze as if playing hide and seek. He teaches us how to contemplate that tiny creature that lives within us. His works allow us to rediscover ourselves in that child we were. His work acquires resonance of song nd nightingale and colors of quetzal when he says “I dedicate this exhibition with great affections to all the people who look inside to that Magical being called a Child.
Miguel has a beautiful studio in Pachimalco and founded a program to teach art to children Over 1000 children have particiated. He greeted us at the doorway and we were in for for a wonderful surprise he showed us his gallery and explained about his foundation for children. For every student that participates the foundation buys a pair of their shoes, which they have tunred into planters that adorn the whole environment.
