April 28, 2020 – This morning we delivered 3340 masks to the Burn Unit of the Bloom Hospital for Children
Over 20,000 masks have been delivered!
U.S. and Salvadoran NGOs work together to donate masks to the Women’s Hospital
Here is the story from the US Embassy
Airline Ambassadors International, a U.S. NGO based out of Washington D.C, and Gente Ayudando Gente, a Salvadoran NGO, united their efforts to support a Salvadoran hospital as they continue to work to help the Salvadoran population during this Coronavirus pandemic.
Out of a united effort to collect donations, the organizations delivered 8,400 locally-made masks to the National Women’s Hospital on April 10. This donation provides enough masks for the staff of the National Women’s Hospital, the patients as well as their family members. The two organizations will continue their partnership and are working to donate a similar number of masks to benefit the staff and patients of the Benjamin Bloom Children’s Hospital.
As U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador Ronald Johnson has said, “Cooperation with our partners is now more important than ever. El Salvador doesn’t have a better friend and partner than the United States.” The US Embassy applauds the collaborative work of Airline Ambassadors and Gente Ayudando Gente.
