This mission was postponed due to corona virus, but will take place on Wednesday, Nov 11 and Sunday, Nov 15 will be a virtual mission to celebrate and hear the stories.
Airline Ambassadors is honored to partner with Hogar de Esperanza Ecuador (a foundation that focuses on support, screening and living with chronic illness including HIV) on this Wellness Mission to spread vital health and wellness information to local communities. Funded by a grant from Isagenix -Isa Foundation, volunteers will share this training in San Raymundo II, the peninsulas newest (and poorest) Barrio.
*
San Raymundo II is the newest, poorest Salinas village on the coast of Ecuador. San Ramundo II has government built bamboo hovels on a small plot of land where formerly homeless families can get a fresh start. The homes have no floor, no electricity or water. Each family must provide those for themselves. These people are proud of their new start in life and we hope to bring them valuable information to support them in being happy AND healthy! Airline Ambassadors will be the first to present from the barrio’s brand new community center. The training will include awareness of human trafficking. Here is a link to the Wellness Manual in English and Spanish that we will be teaching. Our teams will also hand deliver humanitarian donations that will help the community and each resident enjoy a better quality of life.
Upon arrival in Guayaquil, we will be transported to Cautivo, a small beach town near the Salinas on the coast, a 2 hour drive. We will be staying at Casa Blanca Playa Cautivo ( www.casablancaplayacautivo.com ). This cheerful BnB is only a block from the beach, has a pool, and is a great place to unwind. It is in a quiet, residential area and serves breakfast, offers beer and wine for sale plus snacks. We will have dinner available upon arrival.

Wellness Training at the Barrio. — We are working with Dodie Schadlich who is spearheading the San Raymundo projects. Dodie is going house to house in the Barrio to register people for the Wellness Training! While she is registering, she will be able to observe how many children, single mothers, babies etc. She thinks the training could be as many as 400-500 people and she plans to give a “ticket” to all who register to come. IF we get that kind of response, we may break the training into two parts and use a nearby church for half of it.be able to observe how many children, single mothers, babies etc.
***
We will also be offering ore Janice Wilcox wellness related art projects to do with the children while their parents are at the training. We will need to bring down some of the materials….but these project will be SO much fun and teach the children valuable health lessons!
We hope to give a banana tree to each participant to plant in their yard. giving each household a tree plant and some good soil to give shade…and food.
