I’m excited to invite you to join us for an Airline Ambassadors mission trip to the Philippines from October 23 through October 28. We need a minimum of six volunteers to make this trip possible, and I hope you will consider joining us.
This trip will give us the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families facing tremendous challenges. Through our time, service, encouragement, and practical support, we can help children feel valued, bring hope to families in difficult circumstances, and provide care to communities with limited access to medical and dental services.
We will fly to the Philippines on standby and serve in several communities.
Manila
We will spend two days with children and families who live at a dumpsite.
One day will be filled with games, activities, and joyful memories for the children, many of whom rarely have opportunities like these. Our presence will remind them that they are seen, valued, and loved.
The second day will be a medical mission, during which we will help provide medical and dental services to families who may otherwise have difficulty accessing this care. Even one day of treatment, compassion, and attention can make a lasting difference.
Zambales and Olongapo
After Manila, we will travel to the Zambales and Olongapo area.
We will spend two days at Shepherd of the Hills, a children’s home where we have been helping and visiting the kids for many years. We will spend time with the families and children, participate in activities, and help wherever we are needed. By building relationships and sharing our time, we can encourage the children and support those who care for them each day.
We will also spend one day with the Dawo family, who have nine children and have sadly lost both their mother and grandmother. We will spend time with the children, participate in activities, and offer encouragement, love, and joy during this difficult season. Although our visit cannot erase their loss, it can remind them that they are not forgotten and that others care about their future.
What does the $850 trip fee cover?
The approximate trip fee is $850 per person.
This fee covers our transportation and the activities we do with the children while we are there. It includes transportation between projects, activities, medical and dental mission, meals or outings for the children, and group activities for everyone, including the volunteers.
Each volunteer is responsible for their own lodging and meals when we are not with the children.
For lodging in Manila, I will provide the name of the hotel where the group will be staying. However, you are welcome to stay wherever you prefer, as long as you can meet the group on the morning of October 23 so we can travel together to our first project.
This is more than a trip; it is an opportunity to serve with purpose. In just a few days, we can bring joy to children, provide essential care to families, encourage children who have experienced heartbreaking loss, and create memories that may stay with them for years. At the same time, we will be changed by the people we meet and the stories they share.
We need at least six volunteers, so please let me if you plan to join us. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact me directly. I would be happy to answer any questions about the trip, projects, transportation, accommodations, or anything else you would like to know.
I truly hope you will say yes. Your time, compassion, and willingness to serve can make a real difference in the lives of these children and families.
With love,
Thank you so much looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheryl
