Jamaican flight attendant Syliva Doreen Bryan used to live in St Elizabeth, the area worst hit by Hurricane Melissa. She had the idea to create a campaign through Airline Ambassadors HERE is our First Post

Sylvia left January 28th and she and Dr. Kevin Hyland are spearheading relief for familes with funding YOU ALL MADE POSSIBLE! THANK YOU!
Here is her Plan:
“Dr. Kevin Hylton (my logistical partner) and I will work together to ensure donations are given to the people of areas affected and in greatest need.
He will navigate us through the roads that are still in disrepair. We will have security with us to be safe with our donations.
Our first stop is Black River (Ground Zero).
We are working with Ms. Janet Johnson of Tidy Tots Educare.
The children are displaced. Our goal is getting them back to the school they love and familiar with.
Ms. Johnson is working with Kevin to find the proper contact for the St. John Anglican Church of Black River. This church stood strong close to 300 years old.
They must rebuild what they had. Having a solid church home for those who believe in Christ is paramount. Restoring faith after a storm is what keeps all of us going.
I am shopping this week for (before the 28th) all essential items (clothing, toiletries, bedding etc)
Kevin and I will purchase the heavy lifting supplies such as water, building supplies, etc from a warehouse in Kingston.
This will allow us begin the process repairing the homes in Siloah after leaving Black River. Siloah was my former home I communted from Miami.
Dr. Lernice Henry and her colleagues of Excelsior Unity Circle are my direct contact stateside.
Savannah-la-mar Hospital in Westmoreland is our next stop. focusing on the Pediatric Unit.
We are very excited to connect with Mrs. Tomilinson as the time grows near before my departure stateside.
The hospital adminstration will have a “big check” with AAI as donors to rebuild the pediatric ward and other needs for the infants and children.
Thank you so much to all the flight attendants pilots and more that have supported this work!
With love,
Sylvia
