“Good morning, Captain and Dr. Karla Trigueros, Minister of Education, Karla de Palma, Director of ESCO, Vice President of the Legislative Assembly, Gustavo Guerrero, Member of the Board of Directors and friend of the family, Elmer Urrutia, Executive Director of our Foundation… ladies and gentlemen representing government institutions, Father Cecilio, from the Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, special guests, dear teachers and students, friends of the Foundation and mine as well… David and Nancy Rivard, Lorena and other friends here today.
Today is a very special day because, with the full agreement of our Foundation’s Board of Directors and the Executive Director, we have decided to donate the Pablo Tesak Theater to the state of El Salvador to be administered and used by the Ministry of Education for the benefit of students in public schools, university students, and other groups in society.
We are fully convinced that you, as the governing body of education in our country, will promote the activities and actions carried out in this place, taking full advantage of the benefits offered by this unique space, built with the firm intention of contributing to improving access to education and culture for the Salvadoran population.”
