Our United Nations Youth Representative Harry Yan participated in this United Nations Third Committee meeting Feb 6, 2025.
The meeting had an emphasis on bringing equality to young people. The Third Committee welcomes improvements in all areas, such as access to essential human rights resources, anti-human trafficking, more availability for internet and cyber security, and other issues The meeting was an opportunity for Member States and civil society organizations to highlight past achievements and future desires
Harry also attended a recetption for Pakistani Ambassador Munir Akram. and introduced Airline Ambassadors International. Ambassador Akram congratulated AAI on raising over $60 million and helping half a million women and children globally and delivered his best wishes. Ambassador Munir Akram was appointed for the second time as Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations. He had previously held the post from 2002 to 2008, during which time he also served two terms as President of the United Nations Security Council. On 23 July 2020 Akram was elected President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council serving from July 2020 to July 2021.
