Augment your visit to Nepal with a visit to the Eco-Home!
Just after the earthquake in 2015, AAI established a volunteer program at the EcoHome for Orphans in the Saankhu Valley about 1-1/2 hours from Kathmandu.
The children there range in age from 7-17 and are truly a delight! Your stay there will allow the children to practice their hospitality skills…feel free to help them improve! You may decide to go for the day to meet the children and share lunch or dinner.
An overnight or longer stay will allow you to enjoy the Happy Shepherd’s Volunteer Cottage, built by a previous AAI volunteer,
you may also enjoy teaching them games, crafts or whatever you choose to share.
Perhaps you will join them for a bonfire…bring fixings for “S’Mores” for all to enjoy.
You could join them in school and perhaps teach a class…if that appeals to you. Your visit could include a short trek to the beautiful Namo Buddha Monastery or perhaps an outing with the children for a picnic or ice cream.

Your connection for the EcoHome can also plan your entire visit to Nepal…if you so desire.
