May South Africa Mission
is in full swing right now!

Mission Coordinator, Silviya
Simmonds takes a few moments
away from the activities and
reports, "we went out to Maria's on
the 1st afternoon for a braai
(BBQ) having a drive around the
squatter camp to get a feel of how
the people live. At the
orphanage/home we really had a
fun time interacting with the
kids...everyone really enjoyed
having them visit.
"Today, we painted the inside of
Mpumelelo Creche in pink, green
and orange. The walls were really
drab and this has made such a big
difference - making the place look
so nice and bright. While some of
the group was painting the others
were making a veggie garden. This
was also amazing -- accomplishing
this in such a short time and again
everyone had a great fun time
doing something constructive.
Maria is overwhelmed and just
keeps saying WOW WOW and just
can't thank everyone enough for
their kindness and generosity of
time and gifts and their tender
caring hearts. It was just like
Christmas!!"

A Time for Remembrance and Thanks ...
To the Soldiers who served and the Angel who provided refuge.
In April, an Airline Ambassadors'
Mission became even larger than
Mission Coordinator, Suzanne
Signona, could have anticipated.
Vietnam Veterans, who read
about Suzanne's work on the AAI
website, contacted her about her
trip and had a very special
message they wanted delivered to
an Angel in Vietnam.

Bravo to:
AAI Mission Coordinator, Becky Gahman

Becky Gahman's Mexico
Missions do not end
when she waves good-
bye and crosses the
US/Mexico border for
home. Keeping in touch
with her adopted
projects is a natural part
of every day for Becky.
Following the return from
her March Trip with
volunteers, Becky
learned that, not only
was the escalating
violence taking a toll, but
the Swine Flu outbreak
had delivered the already
ailing orphanages
another devastating
blow.

Gathering as much new
information as possible about
the situation, Becky reported
the dire circumstances to AAI
and pulled together another
campaign to help the children
of Casa de Paz. Please read
more about Becky's efforts to
help fill the pantry with food for
these children in our
Donate to a Project section.

$20 will buy a 20 lb. bag of beans
$15 will buy a 15 lb. of rice.
As Becky says, "These children need your help!"
Bravo to Becky Gahman!!
Thank yous!
AAI Members' Overwhelming Response to Mexico eCampaign

We want to extend our sincerest
thanks for the outpouring of
generous donations in response
to the Mexico eCampaign for Casa
de Paz. We were thrilled and
touched by every contribution our
members offered knowing that,
for everyone, these are very
difficult economic times.
Your generosity will make a huge
difference in the lives of these
orphans at our adopted project in
Mexico. We hope that you may
consider joining us some time this
year to visit the children whose
lives your generosity has
impacted.
We would like to extend a very special thank you to Kim Hunter, CEO of
Lagrant Communications, who spearheaded a drive to support our
efforts, and offered to match employee donations to support this
orphanage! In response everyone's incredible compassion and
kindness, Mexico Coordinator, Becky Gahman sends a personal
message of gratitude:
To our Generous Donor;
Please accept our sincerest
appreciation for your generosity in
support of the orphaned children
of Casa de Paz. These are
desperate times and your gift
allows us to help them keep their
utilities from being cut off and
provide much needed food and
medical supplies.
The needs of the children and the orphanage are enormous and we are
continuously striving to meet their needs. We can not do it without
financial support, so thank you for joining us in achieving that goal of
giving hope and assistance to those that are less fortunate.
