Marcdaile home to Haiti from Atlanta

The big pink fluffy dress with black velvet was a trick!
She wanted to wear her pretty dress so others would think she is a Cinderella....but hidden underneath it....her track shoes. Meet Marcdaile St. Victor...and not very much slows this little 3 year old charmer down. Marcdaile came to the U.S. from Haiti in April for orthopedic correction to both of her legs. Barely a toddler and unable to speak English, Marcdaile happily went from one set of trusting arms to the next as she continued on her path of medical care. I met her in the Atlanta airport to finish her journey back home to Haiti. Marcdaile came to my arms as innocent as a dove...wanting me to carry her through security...and that's when the running began.
Stroller and two bags in tow, I quickly realized how grateful I was for the stroller's purpose of 'lugging the carry on bags'...while I pushed it in order to keep up with Marcdaile's little legs. And, believe me, those leg braces she had on did not slow her down one bit.

Marcdaile was precious...loved to play...LOVED to run...and especially loved to sing (my apologies to those passengers who were trying to sleep during the 50+ songs of 'Itsy Bitsy Spider'). "Again" she would say..."Sing spider song again!"...as we both motioned the spider, rain, sun, and then the spider climbing again with our hands. It was the one thing that kept her from wanting to take off...so I was very grateful for that song. Besides, it reminded me of the times my own kids were so little.

Yes, she is precious...
full of joyous life and is now reunited with her adorin g family back home...and I am just grateful that God allowed me one day with his sweet love-filled little girl while she awaited one more arm to finish the medical journey she was on.
By the way...the pictures...were 'on the go' (if you know what I mean)...
but, believe me her laughter
made the whole day fantastic.
